John I. Davis

March 23, 1926 — August 19, 2016

John I. “Jack” Davis, 90, of Brighton Twp. passed away early Friday morning, August 19, 2016 at Heritage Valley Hospital, Beaver.

Born March 23, 1926, in Patterson, N.J., he was the son of the late Clarence and Alta Davis.  He had been a resident of Brighton Twp. the past 38 years and retired from Pittsburgh Tube and Allegheny Ludlum Steel and recently worked at the Upper Beaver Valley Veterans Service Center.

He was a proud veteran of the US Navy and served during WWII.

He was a member of the Beaver United Methodist Church, Past Commander of Beaver Falls American Legion Post 261, Past Worshipful Master and 50 year member of Berne Lodge F & AM, Berne, N.Y., and attendee of St. James Lodge F & AM, Bridgewater, PA.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 55 years, Ethel Kelly Davis in 2003.  He will be sadly missed by his family including a son, C. William “Bud” Davis, 4 daughters, Catherine (Lance) Buchardt, Tampa, FL, JoAnn (Karl) Haywood, Evans, GA, Ruth Ann (Karl) Kaleauti, Aiea, HI, Kimberly Tomasko, Brighton Twp., a daughter-in-law, Martha Davis, 11 Grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and their families, as well as many friends and loved ones.  He was also preceded in death by his sister Eleanor D. Tallman.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver.  A service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 am at the Beaver United Methodist Church by his pastor, Rev. Emmitt Anderson.  Interment with full military rites by the Beaver County Special Unit will follow at the Beaver Cemetery.  Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to Beaver United Methodist Church, 345 College Avenue, Beaver, PA 15009 or Upper Beaver Valley Veterans Service Center, 610 Third Ave, New Brighton, PA  15061.
