John R "Dick" Conner

John R. “Dick” Conner, 76, of Brighton Twp., passed away on May 11, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Born on August 22, 1946, in Rochester, PA, he was the son of the late Richard D. and Elizabeth Eaton Conner, and retired over 20 years ago as a lineman with the former Bell Atlantic Telephone Company. Dick was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, having served in the Vietnam War on the aircraft carrier USS Ranger. He was an avid Beaver sports fan, having spent countless hours coaching Beaver youth programs, and served over 35 years on the Stick Crew at Beaver Football games. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his 2 sisters, Betsy Sullivan, and Nancy Conner; an infant brother, Thomas Michael Conner; sister-in-law, Cheryl Conner; and brother-in-law, Bruce Logan. Dick will be sadly missed by his wife of nearly 56 years, Susie Patten Conner; his son, Michael (Kate) Conner, of Beaver; two daughters, Amy (Matt) Shaddick, of Beaver; and Jen (Colin) Ebbitt, of Beaver; three brothers, Jim Conner, Bill (Judy) Conner, and Bob (Denise) Conner, all of Beaver; sister, Peggy Logan, of Brighton Twp.; eight grandchildren, Luke and Sydney Conner, Conner Kelly, Caiden, Ashley, and Emma Shaddick, and Shane, and Josh Ebbitt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Sunday May 14, 2023 from 12pm-3pm and 6pm-8pm in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009, where a Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday May 15, 2023 at 11am.
