John W. “Jack” McNaughton, 83, formerly of Industry, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 13, 2020 at Beaver Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center, South Beaver Twp. Born March 26, 1936 in Latrobe, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Carr McNaughton. Jack was employed as draftsman for over 20 years at Babcock and Wilcox in West Mayfield, and he ended his career as a project manager for Chester Engineers in Pittsburgh. Jack was a longtime, faithful member of Saint Blaise Parish, Midland. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Marlene J. McNaughton in 2007; son-in-law Rex Doyle in 2019; and his brother, Ron McNaughton. He is survived by two daughters, Susie Doyle, The Woodlands, TX, and Jacquie (Al) Catanzarite, Chippewa Twp.; 4 cherished grandchildren, Megan Doyle, Nathan, Dante and Vinnie Catanzarite; two brothers, Phil (Janet) and Greg McNaughton, both of New Alexandria, PA; two sisters, Kathleen Reid, New Alexandria, and Mary Janice (Lew) Mennano, Jeanette; and brother-in-law Ray (Peggy)Valdiserri, Apollo, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Over the years, Jack was an active member of the community. He was a Little League coach, served on the Board of both the Industry Water Authority and Planning Commission and was active with the Western Beaver Football Boosters for many years. Jack was an avid reader and had a lifelong passion of World War II History. He enjoyed golfing with his buddies and attending local high school sporting events. There will be no public visitation. A private Blessing Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, 333 Third Street, Beaver, followed by interment at Beaver Cemetery, where Jack will be laid to rest next to his wife, Marlene.
