John "Larry" Kemp

John “Larry” Kemp, 73, of Brighton Twp., passed away of natural causes, Monday, October 25, 2021, at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born March 30, 1948 in Canton, OH, Larry was a 1966 graduate of Beaver High School, going on to earn a degree from Geneva College in 1970. He had a long career, spanning over 30 years as a teacher in the Riverside School District. A faithful member of Oak Grove Church of Christ, he actively served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Larry was also a member and Past Presiding Officer of the St. James Lodge # 457, Beaver Valley Commandery #84, Beaver Valley Council #54, and the Beaver Valley Chapter Order of DeMolay.

Larry will be greatly missed by his wife Sandra Montgomery Kemp; son, John (Beth) Kemp II; daughters, Amy (Mark) Douglas and Terri (Matt) Steffine; sister-in-law, Carol Kemp; grandchildren, Emily (Gary) Morgan, Charlie Dean, Jason Dean, Tyler Steffine, and Nick Steffine; and great-granddaughter, Kendra Morgan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Esther Holmes and Ellen Messick; and his brother, Paul Kemp.

Friends will be received Friday, October 29, 2021, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., when a Masonic Service will take place in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St, Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted by his minister, Jeff Phillis, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Church of Christ, Industry. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
