John W. Lanctot, 65, of Brighton Twp., passed away unexpectedly at home Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
Born March 9, 1958 in Rochester, he was a son of the late John K. Lanctot and Jane Brew Lanctot Colwell. John was the owner/operator of two local restaurants; Lance’s Port & Pub and Soup-Herb Sproutz. He was also active with the Little Beaver Lions Club.
Lanceman was a man with many stories, true stories. He was loved by every person he met. A business man, he was the embodiment of work hard, play hard. An avid golfer; loving to golf with his ‘bestest’ friends any chance he had. He loved to be outside in the sun, sitting by his pool with the music playing was an A++ day in his book. He was ‘Pops’ to his children, and ‘PopPop’ to his grandchildren, whom he adored more than anything in this world. He was someone you wanted to be around, to experience the fun and feel the joy he brought with him.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 34 years, Tina L. May Lanctot, Brighton Twp.; son, Curt (Hannah) Lanctot; daughter, Julie (Ryan) Arena; sister, Joan Lanctot; and cherished grandchildren, Nolan and Aria Arena and Paxton Lanctot.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Lanctot, and step-father, Robert O. Colwell.
Friends will be received Friday, April 7, 2023, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John’s name may be made to the Little Beaver Lions Club, 1209 State Route 168, Darlington, PA 16115.
