John C. Michael

John C. Michael, 68, of Brighton Twp., passed away on December 3, 2022, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 21, 1954, in Rochester, PA, to the late John L. Michael and Ruth Bell New Michael Deep, John was an avid gardener, growing vegetables, flowers, and most importantly, keeping a meticulous yard. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed having fun, and loved to bbq. John retired from Hussey Copper, Ltd. June, 2021 as a Senior Metals Buyer. Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his niece, Alyssa Fontana. John will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 43 years, Karen Marie Etters Michael; Joan (Joyce Sommer) Michael, whom of which was his twin sister, and Judy (Bob) Fontana; his brothers, Jay (Patty) New, Joe (Debbi) Michael, and Jim (Terry Foxwell) Michael; a sister-in-law, Sue Etters; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his faithful, crazy four-legged companions, Mel and Roo. As per John’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in John’s memory to a charity of your choice.
