John Simecak

John Simecak, 80, of Bridgewater, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Born September 2, 1944 in Beaver, he was a son of the late Jacob and Caroline Jurich Simecak. John was a graduate of Beaver Area High School, going on to serve in the U. S. Army. He worked all his life, including a career as a crane man with B & W Steel, security guard with Shasta Services, delivering newspapers, and setting bowling pins. In his spare time, John was an avid bowler for many years, loved working on cars, and especially, enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia L. Kovalesky Simecak in 2023; and son, Hubert J. Kovalesky, Jr. Also preceding him in death is Frank and Marion Justice and Frankie Justice.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Patricia L. Kovalesky; son, Eugene N. Kovalesky; daughter-in-law, Barb Kovalesky; sisters, Anna Sipp and Kathie (Bruce) Wise; brother, Nick (Patty) Simecak; grandchildren, Tommy (Dena) Lipp, Curtis (Rebecca) Kovalesky, Hubert (Alisha) Kovalesky, Steven Sipe, Matthew Sipe and Erin Cole; along with great-grandchildren, Macie Lipp, Lincoln and Kelly Kovalesky, Curtis II and Andrew Kovalesky, and a baby girl on the way.

Friends will be received Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
