John L. Steele

John Leslie Steele, 74, of Brighton Township, died Monday, April 18, 2022 at Heritage Valley Beaver, surrounded by family. Born September 27, 1947 in Butler, he was the son of the late Claude J. Sr. and Katherine Eddy Steele. John resided in Brighton Township for the majority of his life and was a veteran of the US Navy. He retired from Beaver Area School District in 2009, where he was a middle school teacher for 22 years. Surviving is his loving wife of nearly 53 years, Elise Latshaw Steele; son, Geoffrey Steele, and his wife, Janisse, Kingsville, TX; daughter, Jocelyn Bowser, Beaver; two brothers, Claude (Retta) Steele Jr., Ohioville, and Garen (Sue) Steele, Patterson; three grandchildren, Bailey and Aiden Steele, and Addilyn Bowser; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Tom Bowser. Friends will be received Friday, April 22, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 11 AM.
