Josefina (Josie) Haffey

Josefina (Josie) Haffey, of Chippewa Twp., passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 surrounded by those who loved her.

Born February 23, in Catbalogon, W. Sumar, Philippines, she was the daughter of Juanita Rivera Pelayo, and the late Isaac Afable. Josie lived her life with purpose; she had a 17-year career with Walmart as Head Baker. She was a hard worker; she loved to garden and to make things grow. She cared deeply for animals and they loved her. Most of all she loved to travel and to explore, always quick to laugh and never shying away from adventure – sharing her greatest adventures with her loving husband Matthew.

Josie will be greatly missed by her husband, Matthew Haffey, Chippewa Twp.; her mother Juanita; daughter, Maricel Rivera; and her sisters, Melinda A. Dimayuga & Cherry M. Albo. Josie was also a beloved Sister, Aunt and Dear Friend to many, many people especially her nieces and nephews in the Philippines: Jenny, Jake, Marife, Janice, Kristian and a host of others whose lives she touched.

Friends will be received Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Monday, April 25, 2022, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Ohioville.
