After retirement, he served on the Board of Directors at Powell Industries, the Heritage Valley Health System, and as board president of the Baypointe Condo Association in Naples, FL, where he and Pam enjoyed the beautiful Florida sunsets for the past 12 years. Joe was an avid runner and sports fan, especially Steelers Football and college basketball. He loved spending time with family, card games, classic cars, and rock music.
In addition to his wife Pamela, Joe is survived by three children: Jeff Becherer, Chris Becherer and Erin Kaiser; three grandchildren: Sofia Becherer, Hannah Grace Kaiser and Molly Kaiser; and four younger siblings: Patrick Becherer, Anne Hambly, Jeannie Lewan and Michael Becherer.
