Joseph Stanley Kulcyk, 92, of Brighton Twp., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Heritage Valley, Beaver, surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 20, 1926 in Woodlawn, now Aliquippa, he was a son of the late Jacob and Aneila Kulcyk. A graduate of Aliquippa High School, Joseph served proudly in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. Upon returning to the area, he worked at Jones & Laughlin Steel and LTV Steel, retiring from the Blooming Mill after a 42-year career. In his spare time, Joseph could be found at Deer Trails Country Club or the Fort McIntosh Club. He was a volunteer for Beaver Meals on Wheels and an usher at Hope Lutheran Church, Brighton Twp.
Joseph will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 62 years Carolyn Booth Kulcyk, Brighton Twp.; one son, John Richard (JoAnn) Kulcyk, Waunakee, WI; one daughter, Michal Louise (Robert) Rittler, West Chester, PA and seven grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, and Nicole Kulcyk, and Rachel, Kate, Lauren, and Heather Rittler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lois Jean Kulcyk; three brothers, Anthony, Frank, and John Kulcyk; three sisters, Mary Hawrylo, Dr. Agnes Cornesky, and Blanche Robertson; two brothers-in-law, Andrew Cornesky and George Robertson; and one sister-in-law, Rose Kulcyk; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday, March 23, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted by his pastor Reverend Freda Snyder, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, Brighton Twp.
