Joseph J. Starasinich, Sr.

Joseph J. Starasinich, Sr., 79, of Brighton Twp., passed away with his loving family at his side, following a short battle with cancer on Monday, April 1, 2019.

Born March 19, 1940 in Fallston, he was a son of the late Peter and Mary Chupac Starasinich. Joseph was a U. S. Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Essex. He worked as a machinist at Crucible Steel, Midland, was a former owner of Pete’s Distributing, Fallston, and retired from J & J Forging, Aliquippa. Joseph loved to golf and was a life long member of the Deer Trails Country Club, Industry.

Joseph will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Donna Winters Starasinich, and their two children, Joseph Starasinich, Jr., State College, and John (Dawn) Starasinich, Indian Land, SC; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Paige Starasinich, Indian Land, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three sisters, Mary Starasinich, Catherine Wadatz, and Wilma Trputec; and his brother, Peter Starasinich.

As per Joseph’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Interment will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester. Professional arrangements have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
