Josephine J. Renkes Barbarita

Josephine J. Renkes, 93 of Beaver, formerly of Pittsburgh passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver with her family by her side.

Born December 10, 1921 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Michael & Rose Barbarita and had been a resident of Beaver the past 20 years. An active member of Saints Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver, she had also belonged to the Marion Guild of her church.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband John J. Renkes in 1989, two sons John J. Renkes Jr. in 2007 and James J. Renkes in 1995, a sister Philomena Booher, and two brothers, Emilio & Richard Barbarita.

Surviving is her devoted daughter, Cecilia (Richard) Roland, with whom she resided, a daughter-in-law, Sandra Renkes, Florida, two sisters Mary Ann Lombard, Florida, Gloria (Fred) Zinobile, Kentucky, eight cherished grandchildren, Erin (Vince) Palmiero, Mark, Staci,& Stephanie Roland, Elizabeth (Nathan) Brown, Kristen & Karin Renkes, Katherine Renkes. a great grandson, Vincent Palmiero, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street Beaver, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Saints Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church by her pastor & longtime friend, Father Robert Miller.
