Karen Kurtz

Karen Lee Donaldson Kurtz, 72 of Rochester, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family on March 9, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born November 23, 1946 in Rochester, she was the daughter of Asa and Ruth Donaldson and was a 1964 graduate of Freedom High School. Karen was also a retired member of the Beaver County Fireman Ladies Auxiliary.

Karen is survived by her estranged husband, Andrew A. Kurtz Jr., a daughter, Missy (Tony) A. Lazarus, 3 sons, Michael Kurtz, Andrew (Nicky) Kurtz, Harold (Chrissy) Cleckley, 5 brothers and a sister, Butch Kennedy, Pamela Oaks, Randy (Janice) Wagurak, Rick (Maryland) Donaldson, Rodney (Barb) Donaldson, Rusty (Chris) Donaldson, a sister-in-law, Ruthanne Kurtz Bluemling, 17 cherished grandchildren, Elissa Wilson, Kris (Chelsea), Jon, and Brandon Lunt, Michaela, Marcus and Makenzie Kurtz, Greg (Shaina) Beightley, Geoffrey (Jodi) Beightley, Michael (Ashley) Beightley, Bryan (Alyson) Beightley, Stephanie, Hanna, and Kerstyn Beightley, Emilee and Madison Campisi, and Aaron Parker. She is also survived by  18 great grandchildren, Maleea, Lexa, Braydon, Eden, Marley, Gizzie, Hailey, Chloe, Jase, Kelly, Allison, Carter, Denl, Wyatt, Madi, Colton, Dani, Remi, Carter, and the late Kara. also several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was Delores “Ish” Donaldson and a special sister Robin Donaldson.

Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St. Beaver where a service will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Freedom. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

All are welcome to attend a celebration of Karen’s Life at Faith Community UMC, 341 Jefferson ST., Rochester, PA immediately following the cemetery service. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the church for their prayers and loving care.
