Katherine A. Boyde

Katherine A. Boyde, 69, of Brighton Township passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver surrounded by her family.

Born March 30, 1947 in New Brighton, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Trputec. In 1983, Katherine, along with her husband Robert, founded, owned, and operated Boyde’s Tankerman Service, with three locations in Bridgewater, South Pointe, OH, and Louisville, KY. She also worked in county government, retiring from the district magistrate office in 1995. Her priority in life was caring for her family. She will be best remembered for her kindness and generosity.

In her spare time, Katherine was very active in the community. Her favorite activities were attending multiple card clubs, as well as a very special group called Friends Club.

Katherine is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 53 years, Robert C. Boyde, Sr., Brighton Township; three sons, Robert C. (MaryAnn Krakar) Boyde, Jr., Ohioville, Thomas E. (Sherry) Boyde, Brighton Township, and Daniel “Jake” Boyde, Ohioville; one daughter, Melanie A. (John) Pollick, Brighton Township; one sister, Anna Cox, New Brighton; 13 grandchildren, Chad, Bailey, Danielle, Cody, Alivia, Chase, Jacob, Madeline, Isaac, Peter, Tori, Jackson, and Connor; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Sandra Boyde, and four brothers, Steve, Joe, John, and Frank Trputec.

Friends will be received Thursday, July 21, 2016, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver where a service will be conducted by a family friend, Reverend James Equels following visitation hours at 11:00 am.
