Kathryn L. Ahern Heller

Kathryn L. “Kitty” Ahern, 83 of Beaver passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Beaver Meadows surrounded by her family.

Born July 18, 1932 in Rochester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. and Eleanor D. Heller. Kitty had retired after 37 years as an employee with Michael Baker, Corp. and was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver where she had served as both a Deacon and Elder. She also had volunteered with the Beaver Area Memorial Library.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, Frank Ahern in1975, a daughter-in-law, Jean Ahern in 2015, a great granddaughter, Amelia Ann Ahern, and her companion, Dr. John Marshall.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family including her four children, Bruce Ahern, New Sewickley, Debbie (Ed) Walters, New Brighton, Jeff (Jill) Ahern, Avalon, Greg (Gigi Cassi) Ahern, 9 grandchildren, Lauren (Dave) Leist, Rob (Jessica Worley) Ahern, Frank (Caroline) Ahern, Erica (John) Zilk, Andrea (Eric Popovich) Walters, Christina (Nick) Magnotta, Steve (Ashley) Ahern, Ely Ahern, Meghan Cassi, and 8 great grandchildren, Draven Leist, John and Josh Zilk, Dominick Magnotta, Grayson Popovich, Chloe Adrian, and Isabella and Anthony Ahern. Kitty was also anxiously awaiting the birth of a new great granddaughter, Mia Kathryn Magnotta.

Friends will be received Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver where a service will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am by her pastor, Reverend Mark Boyd. Interment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
