Kenneth D. "Murph" Murphy

Kenneth D. “Murph” Murphy, 78, of Beaver, PA, passed away on December 5, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Born on August 2, 1946 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Chester D. and Ursula M. Murphy. Murph was an associate member of the Vanport Presbyterian Church, retired form J&L and B&W Steel Mills as well as Rolling Acres Golf Course. He belonged to Beaver Valley Golf Association, Beaver Falls Sportsmen’s Club, PA Hunter’s Association as an instructor and Koppel Golf Leagues. Kenneth recorded five hole in ones. One of Murph’s greatest accomplishments was hiking the Appalacian Trail from North Carolina to Tennessee. He will be remembered for his culinary skills, especially his famous ribs. Murph will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Kathleen (Kathy) Aeschbacher Murphy; daughter, Michelle Murphy Gawley, South Beaver; step-son William “Bill” Shields, Beaver; sisters, Beverly (Jon) McCarter, South Beaver, Marilyn (Walt) Watrobsky, Port St. Lucie, Fl; grandchildren, Savannah and Araina Shields, Clinton, MD, Charlie Gawley, Albuquerque, NM, Kenneth (Chloe) Gawley, Beaver and Emily Gawley, South Beaver. A Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday December 10, 2024 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA, 15009 where a funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday December 11, 2024 at 11am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Mortgage Fund of the Vanport Presbyterian Church in Murph’s name or a charity of your choice.
