Dr. Kenneth G. Vuletic, 76, Brighton Township, came to the end of his life’s journey on October 16, 2021.
Born November 2, 1944 at East Liverpool City Hospital he was raised on Spring Lane, Midland.
Ken was a graduate of Lincoln Midland High School, Geneva College with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and minor in Educational Psychology; Master’s degree in Reading and Language Arts from Slippery Rock University; Doctorate in Curriculum and Instructional Supervision and a minor in Educational Psychology from The Penn State University. He received his certification in Graduate Administration from Westminster College. Teaching was his goal since age 7.
Ken began his teaching career at the age of 19 with Southern Local Schools. He served faithfully teaching every grade K-12 with Western Beaver County School for 17 years. Additional experience included: Beaver and Blackhawk Schools; Slippery Rock University; Geneva College; Laughlin Children’s Center in Sewickley, and Penn State Beaver Campus.
Surviving are a brother, Nicholas Vuletic III, Midland; niece, Dorothy (Brian) General, Ontario, nephew, Kenneth Mahon, New York.
Dr. Vuletic was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Dorothy F. (Mahon); brothers, John E. Mahon and Franklin Vuletic; sister, H. Arlene (James) Winters.
Ken dedicated his life to teaching. He loved “going to School” each day, and never referred to it as work. Students have often commented on his compassion and commitment to teaching, as well as his desire for his students to excel to their fullest potential.
Dr. Vuletic left 3 quotes for all his students to remember as they journey through life:
“Smile… Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday”.
“Do your best, and leave to God the rest”.
“Cherish your yesterdays; dream your tomorrows, live your todays”.
