Kunigunda Seger

Kunigunda “Oma” Seger, 84, of Hopewell Twp., formerly of Brighton Twp., passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born October 13, 1934 in Bayreuth, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Max and Margerete Bucka. Kunigunda worked as a nurse’s aide in East Liverpool, OH, and was a former member of the Pittsburgh German Club and Beaver Football Mothers. She will be remembered for her love of family, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and soap operas.

In addition to her parents, Kunigunda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Seger in 1998; and her two best friends, Maria “Ria” Powers, and Martha Powell.

She will be greatly missed by her son, Michael A. (Brooke) Seger, and her daughter, Janet E. (Frank Skrajny III) Owad-Skrajny, all of Hopewell Twp.; five grandchildren, Ashley (Jason M. Schimonsky) Owad, Brandon (Nicole Forte) Skrajny, twins, Bradley and Matthew Seger, and Tiffany (Christopher) Oblinger; her lifelong friend from childhood, Ida Babiak and her husband, John Giglio; along with granddoggies, Bear, Lily, and Leo.

Friends will be received Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a service will be conducted at 6 p.m. A private interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
