Lawrence R. Dodds

Lawrence Raymond Dodds, 75, of Beaver passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born August 24, 1940 in McKeesport, PA, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary Dodds, and had been a resident of Beaver since 1963. He was graduate civil engineer of Penn State University and retired in 2007 from G.A.I. Consultants in Pittsburgh after 24 years. He was previously employed at Green International in Sewickley and Michael Baker Corporation in Brighton Township. He was a member of ASHE (American Society of Highway Engineers, and ASCE, (American Society of Civil Engineers). Larry was active in sports throughout his entire life, but will be remembered most for his involvement in his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a long time member of Seven Oaks Country Club and throughout his life, belonged to numerous golf leagues.

Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Kuhn Dodds, 2 sons, Jeff (Debbie) Dodds, Lake Forest, CA, Scott (Riki) Dodds, Brighton Twp., a daughter, Jennifer Balachow, Baltimore, MD, a sister, Jean Bethune, Irwin, PA, five cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Trevor Dodds, Riley and Mia Dodds, and Ali Balachow, and many friends.

Friends will be received Sunday from 12-3 and 6-8 in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver where a service will be conducted Monday, at 11:00 am by Reverend Roland Gray.
