Leo J. Quintana, 87, formerly of Midland, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the home of his daughter in Pittsburgh.
Born October 5, 1928 in Midland, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Sophia Trevino Munoz. Leo served proudly in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII and had worked at Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, Midland, before leaving the area to work as a roofer in Pittsburgh, residing there the past 40 years.
In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his brother Thomas N. Quintana, Sr.
Surviving him are a daughter, Amber Marie Quintana, Pittsburgh, three brothers, Nicholas (Janet) Munoz, East Liverpool, OH, Anthony (Betty) Munoz, Delaware, and Rudy Munoz, Midland, five sisters, Margaret Quintana and Isabelle Justice, both of Midland, Rose Smith, Punxsutawney, and Tina (Will) Wilko, and Ramona Munoz, all of Delaware, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 2 pm until 4 pm and 6 pm until 8 pm in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Avenue, Midland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Fr. Michael Yaksick Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Blaise Parish, Midland where full military rites will be given by the Beaver County Special Unit. A private interment will take place at the Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
