Leona Duffy Cerasi, 83, of Ohioville, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Elmcroft of Chippewa surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 27, 1932 in Gallitzin, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Irene McCloskey Duffy. Leona had been a resident of Ohioville and Midland all her life and was a member of St. Blaise Parish, Midland.
In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, John A. Cerasi in 2013, and three brothers, Robert, William, and Leo Duffy.
She is survived by three daughters, Monica (Ed) Jarkiewicz, Industry, Joanne Wells, Findlay Township, and Luanne (Patrick) Cilli, Ohioville; six cherished grandchildren, Johnathan Wickline, Industry, Kristi (Mark) Maier, Japan, Roslyn Wells, Pittsburgh, Lisa (Matt) Thomas, Champagne, IL, Malorie Cilli, Midland, and Emilee (John) Morris, Cranberry; six great-grandchildren, Layla and Jace Maier, Rhys and Abigail Thomas, and Patrick J. and Malachi Cilli, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Friends will be received Friday, August 5, 2016 from 2 pm until 4 pm and 6 pm until 8 pm in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Avenue, Midland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Fr. Michael Yaksick at St. Blaise Parish, Midland, Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver.
