Linda J. Conner

Linda J. (Rogers) Conner, 67, of Vanport Township passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born February 3, 1949 in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Edith Rogers. Linda was a 1967 graduate of Beaver Area High School, continuing her education at the Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing, Salem, OH where she garnered her degree. A resident of Vanport since 1971, Linda had a varied career in the local medical field, working as an LPN at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls and eventually retiring from Rochester Manor, Rochester. Her most fulfilling position was as the office manager for Dr. Herbert Gray where she served local families as part of his practice. In her spare time, Linda was a past mother adviser of the International Order of the Rainbow Girls, past PTO President at College Square Elementary School, Beaver, and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Wayne Chapter # 42, Beaver. Linda will be sadly missed by her husband of 45 years, Bruce N. Conner, Vanport; one son, Douglas B. Conner, Vanport; her daughter, Becky (David) McGeehan, Economy; one brother, Robert (Pam) Rogers, West Palm Beach, FL; cherished grandchildren, Christopher and Marissa McGeehan, and her best friend, Pam (David) Nolder Kerns, Monaca. A memorial visitation will take place Friday, January 27, 2017 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A private service and interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville will occur at a later date. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
