Lois Nelson

Lois McBride Nelson, 95, formerly of Beaver, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at Masonic Village at Sewickley.

Born March 17, 1925 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McBride, Sr. Lois will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring and proud grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James “Whitey” Nelson in 2012; brothers, Ray, Don, and John McBride; and her son-in-law, Charlie Thomas.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Donna Thomas, Vienna, WV, Linda (Corky) Semler, Pittsburgh, and Jane (Dan) Corbett, Fairfield, CT; brothers, Tom (Karen) McBride, and Kenneth (Evie) McBride; grandchildren, James (Amy) Thomas, Lisa (Tony) Turner, Lindsay (Greg) Reis, Stephen Semler, and Madeline and Andrew Corbett; and her great-granddaughter, Natalie Rae Thomas.
