Lorraine Hapach, 89, of Industry, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Concordia-Villa St. Joseph, Baden.
Born June 21, 1931 in Midland, she was a daughter of the late John and Alice Janoski Kwasnieski. Lorraine had a long career in the administrative field, having formerly worked at Westinghouse, Duquesne Light, and ultimately retiring as an executive secretary from RPS, which became FedEx. Once her children were grown and on their own, she and her husband Steve, took numerous trips, including traveling to Hawaii, Europe, and North Africa. Lorraine was a faithful member of St. Blaise Parish, Midland.
Lorraine will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 68 years, Steve Hapach, Industry; sons, David Craig (Carol) Hapach, Raccoon Twp., and Brian Douglas (Nadine) Hapach, Jeannette Pa; grandchildren, Lauren, Stephen, Emily, Amy, Michael, and Adam Hapach; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, two sisters and her brother, Lorraine was preceded in death by her son, Gary Stephen Hapach who perished in the USAir Flight 427 tragedy.
Friends will be received Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Blaise Parish, Midland, followed by a private interment at Beaver Cemetery.
