Luisita Valera Bonto

Luisita (Letty) Valera Bonto, 86, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Beaver, PA, passed away at home with her daughter, Melina, by her side at 9:33 am on March 10, 2023.

Letty was born on March 9, 1937, in Bangued Abra, Philippines. She was a fantastic cook and loved nothing more than cooking for everyone. She loved dogs, especially Morgan (Mark’s dog), and was happiest when surrounded by her family. In addition, she enjoyed knitting and watching Hallmark movies.

Letty will be greatly missed by her son, Maximilian Valera (Myla C) Bonto of Beaver, PA; son, Michael Valera (Joanna Q.) Bonto of Mt. Holly, NJ; daughter, Melina Bonto (Brian P.) Giffin of The Villages, FL; son Mark Bonto of Patterson Heights, PA; six grandchildren, Noelle Giffin, Brelyn Giffin, Martin Bonto, Marian Bonto, Christle Espina, and Zachary Bonto; sisters, Suzanne Valera (Tony) Laudico, Lorna Valera (Tony) Quisumbing, Melissa Valera (Tristan) Macapanpan, and Vilma Valera Mathay; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives. Letty was predeceased by her parents, Miguel T. and Luisita B. Valera; her husband, Augusto P. Bonto; brother, Urbano Valera; sister, Nanette Valera Bautista; and brother-in-law, Ismael Mathay.

A special thank you to Cornerstone Hospice and its nurses, especially Nurse Erin, for their care and kindness during her final days.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 5323 E CR4662, Wildwood, FL 34785.
