Lynn Kay Bird, 78, of Beaver Falls, passed away peacefully, at Rochester Manor, on March 20, 2022, following a brief battle with a constellation of health challenges that, ultimately, proved to be too much for her to overcome. Born on April 13, 1944, in Beaver, to the late Jack “JB” Wilson and Geraldine Miller Lytle, Lynn was a longtime and faithful member of Pathways Church in Chippewa. She was a hairdresser, starting her lifelong and successful career in the 1960s at her mother’s beauty salon located on the Main Street of Beaver “Geri’s Beauty Salon”. For more than three decades she owned and operated her own beauty salon “Lynn Kay Bird’s Beauty Salon”. A loving and devoted mother, her business was attached to the family home so that she could be present at home to raise her two boys. Lynn was loved by her family and many friends and will be sadly missed. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Robert William Bird in 2006, her son, Rodney William Bird, 2021; and two infant sons, Jeffrey Bird and Gregory Bird. She is survived by her son, Tim Bird, and his husband, Avi Sanders, of Short Hills, NJ; grandchildren, Sera Lynn Bird, of Pittsburgh, Robert William Bird II, of New Castle; Daniel Bird Sanders; Alexandra Bird Sanders, both of Short Hills, NJ; and an aunt, Karen Johnson, of Monroe, NC. Friends will be received on Thursday March 24, 2022 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm in the Noll Funeral Home Inc. 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009, where a funeral service will be held Friday March 25, 2022 at 11am.
