Madaline “Eileen” Steed Cerasi, 94, passed away peacefully on Christmas with her family at her side.
The daughter of the late Raymond and Julia Steed, she was born on March 28, 1926 in East Liverpool, Ohio. After graduating East Liverpool High School, Eileen married Anthony J. Cerasi and moved to Midland, PA. Besides dedicating her life to being a fantastic and wonderful Mother, Eileen was an avid reader, enjoyed working cross word puzzles, playing cards, and traveling. Her joy was spending time with her family.
In her lifetime, she was president and a member of the Midland Mother Athlete Association, working countless hours to support the young athletes of Midland High School. She was a former cheerleader sponsor for Midland High School, and was a member of the St. Anthony’s Women Auxiliary and St. Blaise Family Parish.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Anthony Cerasi; her Son, Robert (Bobby) Cerasi; and granddaughter, Randi Haggerty Bates.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Anthony (Paula) Cerasi, Raymond (Nina) Cerasi; her four daughters, Rosemary (Randy) Haggerty, Terry Ann (Greg) Phillips, Lorraine (Ken) Deem, and Mary (Frank) Adams; 13 Grandchildren, Dina (Robert) James, Anthony Cerasi, Tara (Kevin) Olkowski, Rhea Ann (Adam) Lambruno, Shea Cerasi, Lindsay (Ben) Grimsley, John Phillips, Ken (Barb) Deem, Jessica Deem, Mark Adams, David (Becca) Adams and Jerrod Palmer; and 11 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by Robert (Martha) Steed, Donald Steed, Rick Steed and Sandy Estell; and her girlfriends, Elizabeth (Sweetie) McCreight and Fran Steele; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday, January 1, 2021, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Avenue, Midland, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Blaise Church, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions can be made in Eileen’s name to the Salvation Army or local food banks.
