Margaret “Peggy” Hapach, 81, of Midland, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at Heritage Valley, Beaver, surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 5, 1942 in Midland, she was a daughter of the late James Earl and Ida Mae (Young) Dawson. Peggy lived in Ohioville her whole life. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed sharing the results with friends and family. Her other favorite activities were tending to her garden, babysitting her grandchildren, watching the Steeler games, and frequenting Macy’s shoe department with her granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her son Louis Robert Hapach; brother, James Paul Dawson; sister, Joan Mae Flaim; son in law, Michael Phillis
Peggy will be greatly missed by her husband of 62 years, Louis Hapach; son, Shane Hapach, Ohioville; daughter, Ivy Rae Phillis, Chippewa; daughter-in-law, Antonia Hapach, Ohioville; sister, Patty Dawson (Doctor John Hornbaker), Maryland; grandchildren, Brittany (Seth) Melnick, David Hapach, Francesca Phillis (Oscar) Bonilla, Madison Hapach, Gianna Phillis, and Louis Zachary Hapach; great-grandchildren, Aria Phillis and Lorenzo Louis Delillo.
Friends will be received Friday, December 1, 2023, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland, where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place at Highland Cemetery.
