Marguerite L. Bevevino

October 2, 1918 — February 14, 2018

Marguerite L. Bevevino passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in her home in Beaver. She was 99.

Born in Pittsburgh on October 2, 1918, she was one of three daughters to Joseph and Mary Pavone. After high school, she attended Duquesne University where she met her future husband, Frank. A loving mother of 6 children, Frank and she eventually settled in Beaver County, making Beaver their home for the next 60 years

Marguerite was defined by her Catholic faith and her love of family. She believed firmly in the Catholic school system and served as PTA President at St Cecilia’s in Rochester, assisted with the reading program at SS Peter and Paul in Beaver, including The Great Books program, as well as dedicating countless hours to the Lifeline program in Beaver, a counseling and support program for pregnant women and their families.

An avid bridge and Scrabble player who continued to play into her 90s, Marguerite also loved to read and always held a high regard for great literary works.

Her family recognized her intense love of family gatherings and cherishes the value she placed on maintaining support for each other while always staying connected. She was kind to all she met and was a great listener to all in need, both family and friends.

Her husband, Frank, of 56 years, as well as her two sisters, Eleanor Squillante and Carmela Holowka, two grandchildren, Blaine Bevevino and Olivia Bevevino, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her 6 children, Ross, Washington, Pa, Joe (Cindy), Beaver, Alan, Allentown, Pa, Marcia Butler, Beaver, Mary Wood, Beaver, and Dan (Susan) Indiana, PA, 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Charles Bober and Fr.
