Marilyn L. Kovach

April 21, 1927 — September 18, 2016

Marilyn L. Kovach, 89, of Midland, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born April 21, 1927 in Midland, she was a daughter of the late James L. and Linda McElwain Porter and had been a resident of the borough all her life. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and had enjoyed a 25-year career as a photography assistant for the Don Parker Studio, Midland. Since 1940, Marilyn was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Midland, serving as an Elder for many years.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Kovach in December of 1995, a sister, Betty J. Katich in March of 2011, and her brother, Donald M. Porter in December of 2011.

She is survived by two sisters; Celia J. Tilley, St. Charles, MO, and Patricia Tadajski, Pittsburgh; 8 nieces and nephews; Brent (Karen) Katich, Edinboro, Luann (Jeffrey) Fennick, Economy Borough, Christine (Robert) Villamagna, Wheeling, WV, Jane (Tom) Grayson, St. Charles, MO, Jason Tilley, Clearwater, FL, Drew Porter, Bluefield, VA, Mark (Nancy) Porter, Ivoryton, CT, and Nancy Porter, Largo, FL; two cousins; Kathleen (Frank) Timblin, Industry, and Shirley (Richard) Gee, Scottsdale, AZ; and her God Daughter, Pam (Keyser) Rivera, Santa Monica, CA.

As per Marilyn’s request, all arrangements are private and are being handled by Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
