Martha Mae Chaffee, 90, of Ohioville passed away early Saturday morning, May 20, 2017 at her son’s home, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 25, 1927 in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late George and Rachel Gailey. A resident of Ohioville all her life, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was an active and faithful member of the New Salem Presbyterian Church, Ohioville. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband Herbert Wayne Chaffee in 1999; and two brothers, George “Porge” Gailey and Tom Gailey. She will be greatly missed by her four sons, Jerry (Nettie) Chaffee, Randy (Florence) Chaffee, Brian (Susan) Chaffee, and Eric (Dawn) Chaffee; two brothers, Ronald “Doc” (Carol) Gailey, and Clark “Fib” (Janet) Gailey; five sisters, Grace Ann “Red” Trevino, Violet “Shorty” Horm, Susan Kovalesky, Nancy Kovalesky, and Jeanne (Craig) Lowe; her sister-in-law Barb Gailey; eight grandchildren, Scotty (Kim) Chaffee, Kelly Boyde, Matthew (Stacey) Chaffee, Daniel (Ashley) Chaffee, Nicholas (Miranda Blankenbicker) Chaffee, Stephanie (A.J.) Yackovich, and Shawn and Corey Chaffee; along with 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 4 pm until 8 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Jeff Marquis, Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11 am at New Salem Presbyterian Church, Ohioville, followed by a private interment at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
