Martin “Marty” Mathesius, 61, of Beaver, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 28, 2019.
Born on March 30, 1957, in Beaver, he was the son of the late Walter Herman and Katherine Mathesius. Marty loved the outdoors, he was best known as “Lobster Man”, as he had a great passion for diving and catching lobsters in Florida.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Dane Mathesius; a brother, Walter Mathesius; and a brother-in-law, Michael DiNardo.
Marty will be sadly missed by his cherished partner of over 25 years, Daleen Patsiga of New Sewickley; a son, Lucas (Amber) Gilbert of New Sewickley; brothers, Tony (Wilma) Schiebel of Hollister, MO, Karl (Fran Marcocci) Mathesius of Palm Bay, Florida; sisters, Marsha Jagodich of Brighton Twp., Margaret “Peggy” DiNardo of Rochester, and Amy Mathesius of Colorado; a grandson, Parker; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and a good friend and father figure, Lester (Tex) Reutter.
A memorial visitation will take place Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
