Mary R. “Sissy” Bloor, 84, of Industry, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on October 2, 2026.

Mary R. “Sissy” Bloor was born at home on Halloween Day, 1941, in Midland, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph H. and Antoinette “Babe” McLean. She graduated from Midland High School with the Class of 1959. Sissy married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Dick, at Presentation Catholic Church on September 24, 1960. They shared 66 loving years together with their family, who were always the center of her life.

Sissy worked in banking for 12 years, then at the Beaver Valley Power Station for Schneider Inc. and Bechtel Engineering. After retiring, she volunteered in the office for the Sisters at St. Joseph – Baden.

A faithful member of St. Blaise church of St. Augustine Parish, Sissy formerly served as a Eucharistic minister, participated in the bereavement group, and counted Mass collections. She was also a member of the St. Anthony Club Ladies Auxiliary and worked the voting polls for many years. There is not a person on this Earth who ever said a bad word about Sissy, for she was the most kind, caring, and loving person you ever knew.

Sissy and Dick enjoyed spending time in Erie where they had a camper at the beach where they watched breathtaking sunsets. For six years, they also spent winters as snowbirds in Cocoa Beach, Florida, loving the beach life, collecting sea glass, and enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

Sissy was preceded in death by her brother Joseph B. McLean, her in-laws, Harry and Pauline Bloor, brother-in-law Eugene Palka, and two best friends Sandy Noll and Lynn McGeehan.

Sissy is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Richard “Dick” Bloor; her children, Paula (Glenn) Camp, Kristy Bloor (Jeff Young), and Kenny (Andrea) Bloor; her grandchildren, Leanne (Sean) Nagle, Casey (Greg) Cashwell, Nathan (Amber) Bloor, and Johanna Bloor (Shaque Jones); and her great-grandchildren, Delaney and Jack Nagle, Easton and Beau Bloor, and Adrien Jones.

She is also survived by her brother, Tony (Florine) McLean; sister-in-law Ilene McLean; sister-in-law Norma Palka, who was more like a sister to her; childhood and lifelong best friends Dolly Gimbus and Bonnie Caione; and many nieces, nephews, first cousins, and members of a huge extended family who loves Sissy dearly.

Words cannot begin to express Sissy’s gratitude to her son Kenny for being her living liver donor. On August 21, 2018, she received 60% of Kenny’s liver. His selfless act saved Sissy’s life after having primary liver cancer and gave her eight more precious years of life with her family. Sissy always said, “Kenny is my HERO.” Sissy was also deeply grateful to her daughter Paula for advocating for her transplant when no one thought it was possible. In honor of Sissy, PLEASE become an organ donor. Organ donations save lives every day. Souls go to Heaven, organs don’t.

Sissy was especially grateful for her husband, Dick, for all his love and being the greatest caregiver for everything he took on after her transplant, and her daughters, Paula and Kristy, for their love, help, and support with everything she ever needed.

In the end, remember to be kind, help others, and do something amazing with your life. It all goes by in the blink of an eye.

“Don’t be sad because I died, be happy because I lived. I’ve had a wonderful life.”
