Mary Jane Brown

Mary Jane Price Brown, 95 of Brighton Twp passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, PA. Born February 16, 1926 in Eastvale, PA, she was a daughter of the late George B. and Florence C. Price and had been a resident of Brighton Twp since 1950. Mary Jane had retired from the Medical Center, Beaver in 1985 after working as a registered medical records librarian for many years. A faithful member of the Four Mile Presbyterian Church, she had also been a volunteer delivering Meals on Wheels for 10 years. Mary Jane was known throughout her community for her many acts of kindness and for her delicious baked goods, especially her pies and cookies. She loved to travel, garden, bake, shop and sew; however, the most enjoyment she received in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her two children, a son, Dale R. (Eleanor) Brown, Pleasanton, CA, a daughter, Elaine K. (Jeff Kohlmeyer), Baileys, Kittanning, PA, four grandchildren, Eric (Becki) Baileys and Ryan (Heather) Baileys, both of Kittanning, Courtney (Dustin) Rubin, Sunnyvale, CA, Kimberly Brown and Joyce Andrew, Salt Lake City, UT, and 7 great grandchildren, Anthony, Landon, Bristol, Harper, and Autumn Baileys, and James Tucher and Ida Mae Rubin. Mary Jane was anxiously awaiting the birth of another great granddaughter in April, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she thought the world of. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John F. Brown on December 17, 2012 and two brothers George Robert and Gene Allen Price. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME, INC, 333 THIRD ST, BEAVER, where a service will be conducted Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 11:00 am. Private interment will take place at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown, PA. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
