Mary Mosca Burlett

Mary Mosca Burlett, age 66, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on August 15, 2023. She was born on February 16, 1957 in Monaca, PA. She is survived by her husband Gregory Burlett and their daughter, Arielle. Greg was the love of her life, spending almost 42 wonderful years together. Arielle and Mary shared a special bond, one that will continue to guide Arielle forever.

Mary was one in a million. Her love of life encompassed everything around her, especially travel, cooking, and her family and friends. She was inquisitive, witty, and quick to point out incorrect grammar. She spent a long, rewarding career at Industrial Scientific Corporation. She appreciated a good dirty martini and loved their dog, Gus. To Mary, the little things in life were not little things, they were great sources of joy. It was this appreciation that allowed her to live one hundred lifetimes in her 66 years.

Mary is also survived by three loving siblings, Patricia Slater, Peggy Nolder, and Vincent Mosca; many nieces and nephews that she adored; and Arielle’s husband, Timothy Pruitt. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis (“Red”) and Margaret Mosca, and brothers William and Thomas Mosca.

She will be deeply missed by everyone that was lucky enough to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the coming months with details to be provided in advance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at lls.org in honor of Mary Burlett.
