Mary B. Olek, originally of Beaver, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Ashburn, VA.
Born March 23, 1935 in Pittsburgh, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard A. Olek and her parents Joseph and Rose Blice. She was a resident of Beaver for 50 years and a resident of Virginia for the past three years. Mary worked at the Heritage Valley Medical Center Emergency Room as a Patient Representative and was a faithful member of Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Beaver. She was a member of the Beaver Women’s Club, served as a docent at the Beaver Area Heritage Foundation Museum, and volunteered at Saints Peter and Paul School and the Beaver Area Memorial Library.
She was a loving mother of four daughters and a son, Karen (Robert) Bragg, Herndon, VA, Pamela (Carlos) Rojas, McLean, VA, Lisa Lynch, Ashburn, VA, Jennifer (Mark) Konchar, Centreville, VA, and Richard A. Jr. (Meggan) Olek, Ashburn, VA; a caring sister to her brother, Joseph (Rosalind) Blice of Bridgeville, PA; and devoted grandmother to her eleven grandchildren, Shauna Bragg, Carlos IV and Madelyn Rojas, Katherine and Theodore Lynch, Mia, Josephine and Richard Olek III, and Bella, Casey and Jamie Konchar.
Friends will be received Friday, April 13, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a memorial visitation in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions can be made in her name to the Beaver Area Memorial Library, 100 College Ave, Beaver, PA 15009 or to Saints Peter and Paul Church, 200 East End Avenue, Beaver, PA 15009.
