Matthew Kolat, 61, of Chippewa Twp., formerly of North Huntington, PA passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 24, 2022.
Born December 8, 1960 in Braddock, he was a son of the late Albert and Margaret Kolat. Matthew was a proud veteran of the U. S. Air Force, and graduate of the Alabama Aviation Technical College. He attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, and had formerly worked for Delta Airlines as an avionics technician. Matthew also served as an avionics technician with the Alabama Air National Guard. In his spare time, Matthew was very skilled with computers and electronics, rode dirt bikes, and loved flying amateur aircraft.
Matthew will be greatly missed by his wife of over 25 years, Julie Kolat; sister, Robin Tassone, and her husband, Samuel of North Huntington; two brothers, Martin Kolat, Monroeville, and Thomas Kolat, Pleasant Grove, Utah; along with numerous nieces and nephews and his wife’s family.
Friends and Family are welcomed for visitation on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, PA. A funeral service, with full military rites, will be conducted on January 29, 2022 at 1 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment at a National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
