Merritt Edwin Hecker

Merritt Edwin Hecker, 92, of Beaver, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022.

Born October 28, 1929 in New Brighton, he was a son of the late Merritt and Viola Hecker. A resident of Beaver all of his life, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a chemist with Arco Palmers. In his spare time, Merritt was an avid golfer, playing with a variety of different clubs and groups in both Western PA and Florida.

Merritt will be greatly missed by his nephew, Chris (Lauren) Robinson; and his niece, Terri Robinson (Donald) Williams; grandnieces and nephew, Hannah Williams (Evan) Bjorndal, Phillip (Kiera Holbein) Williams, Lillian Robinson (Mac) McIntyre, and Marilee Robinson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Lawrence Hecker, and sister, Lucille Hecker Robinson.
