Michael J. Eckhardt, Jr.

Michael J Eckhardt, Jr 75 of Beaver, PA passed away suddenly on October 22 after an extended illness. Mike was born on October 25, 1946, the eldest son of Michael J Eckhardt, Sr and Quelle Eckhardt. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Candice R Morse Eckhardt of Beaver. Stepsons Rick McGovern, and DJ (Lisa) McGovern, and son, Jason Eckhardt. 2 brothers, Andrew (Sandy) Eckhardt and John Peter (Susan) Eckhardt. 2 brothers in law, Raymond (Linda) Morse and Ernie (Patti) Wolfe. He was Big Pappy, and an uncle to many nieces and nephews, but had a special connection with his beloved great nieces Jennifer, Jillian, and Jodie, and great-great nephews Oliver and Oni. Mike was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School, Class of 1965 and then enlisted with the US Navy in June of 1965 having then served in Vietnam where he earned the Navy Accommodation of Valor and the Purple Heart. He was a member of Steamfitters Local Union 449. Mike was a generous and kind man who was loved by everyone who had the honor of knowing him and will be missed more than words can express. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, October 29 from 2:00 pm until time of memorial service at 5:00 pm in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME, INC, 333 THIRD ST., BEAVER.
