Michael B. Lona, Sr.

Michael B. Lona, Sr., 74, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Midland, passed away June 12, 2016. Born October 8, 1941 in Midland, he was a son of the late Santiago and Mildred Lona. Michael was a proud veteran and had retired from UPS.

Surviving Michael is his loving wife of 44 years, Cathy Turyan Lona, one son, Michael (Teresa) Lona, Jr, one grandson, Sawyer, three step-grandsons, Andrew and his son Aiden, Tyler, and Charlie, three sisters, Lola (Joe) Baich, Maria (John) Caruso, and Theresa Lona, and three brothers, Steve Lona, Lawrence (Nancy) Lona, and John (Colette) Lona.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Milan Lona, and one sister-in-law, Janet Lona.

Friends will be received Friday, July 1, 2016 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm where a memorial service will take place immediately following in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Avenue, Midland, PA 15059. A private interment will occur at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
