Michael A. "Mike" Caffro Sr.

Michael A. “Mike” Caffro Sr., 84, of Ohioville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 26, 2023. Born on March 9, 1939, in East Liverpool, OH, he was the son of the late Arco and Helen Caffro. Mike had worked for Crucible Steel until their closure, and then went on to work for Western Beaver High School as a maintenance man until his retirement. He was a former member of the Ohioville Volunteer Fire Department, a member of Midland Sportsman Club, St. Anthony Club, and also served as a councilman for Ohioville in the 70’s. Mike was a true handyman, always fixing something around his home or helping someone else with their home projects. Along with his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, George Caffro (2014). Mike will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dolores “Dolly” Caffro; three sons and their spouses, Michael Jr. and Denise Caffro of East Liverpool, OH, David and Lynn Caffro of Georgetown, PA, and Daniel and Jeannie Caffro of Evans City, PA; sisters, Judy Zapsic, and JoJo (Don) Knight; grandchildren, Michael Caffro, Matthew Caffro, Andrew Caffro, Daniel “Doc” Caffro, and Jenna Caffro; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. Mike’s family would like extend their sincere gratitude to the many close friends and family that have assisted over the years with Mike’s care. Friends will be received on Friday December 29, 2023, from 4pm-8pm in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Avenue, Midland, PA 15059, where a funeral service will be conducted on Saturday December 30, 2023 at 11am.
