Millicent Ann Fantone

Millicent Ann Fantone, 91, of Midland passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at her residence.

Born August 3, 1924 in Midland, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Helen Polovich Vranich and had lived in the borough all her life. Millicent was a loving mother and housewife, enjoying in her spare time, golf, bowling, crocheting, playing pinochle, and watching the Steelers and Pirates. Along with her sister Helen, Millicent was a member of the Radella Women’s Softball Team, and a faithful member of St. Blaise Parish, Midland, where she participated in the Catholic Daughters of America.

In addition to her parents, preceding Millicent in death was her beloved husband Richard Fantone, her son Richard, a loving daughter-in-law Kathleen Fantone, two brothers Pete and Steve, and two sisters Ann Holava and Kate Tepsic.

Surviving Millicent are two sons, James Fantone, Center Township and Frank and Joanne (D’Itri) Fantone, who cared for her in her home for the past 5 ½ years, five grandchildren, Kevin (Jenna) Fantone, Boardman, OH, Laura (Bryan) Baca, Adelanto, CA, Mary (John Paul) Dickey, Victorville, CA, Adam (Candice) Fantone, Fort Mills, SC, and Michael (Angela) Fantone, Robinson Township, five great grandchildren, Spencer, Isabel, Ethan, Max, and Nicholas, a sister, Helen Onuska, a dear sister-in-law Dolores Fantone, along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 2 pm until 4 pm and 6 pm until 8 pm in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Avenue, Midland. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, February 12, 2016, at 10:30 am at St. Blaise Parish, Midland. A private interment will take place at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver.
