Nancy Lee McBrien, 84, a lifelong resident of Brighton Township, passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Friendship Ridge, Brighton Township.
Born August 10, 1931 in Georgetown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Lowell and Thelma Eakin McBrien. Nancy began her career as a secretary at WBVP Radio, Beaver Falls and ended it with her retirement from the Merrick Art Gallery, New Brighton. She was a faithful member of Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Brighton Township, enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adeline’s, and was an avid reader.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by two sisters, Sheila Diane Mooney in 1991 and Gladys Cunning in 1980, along with her brother, James McBrien in 1973.
She is survived by a nephew, Paul David (Karen) Mooney, Brighton Township, four great nieces and nephews, Brandon Masters, Zachary and Madison Mooney, all of Brighton Township, and Samantha (Derek) DeCouto, Ellwood City, and a brother-in-law, David Bruce Mooney, Brighton Township.
As per Nancy’s wishes, there will be no visitation and interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
Memorial contributions in Nancy’s name may be made to the Beaver Area Memorial Library, 100 College Avenue, Beaver, PA 15009.
