Naomi R. Engelman

Naomi Ruth Engelman, 82, of Brighton Twp., passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born June 24, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Claytie and Stella Dotson. A homemaker all her life, Naomi will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. She was a member of the Ohioville Free Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles S. Engelman, Sr.

She will be greatly missed by her son, Charles (Charyl) Engelman, Jr., Grassflat, PA; two daughters, Deb (Ron) Smith, Ohioville, and Karen (James) Potts, Sr., Brighton Twp.; two brothers, James Dotson, Newell, WV, and Harlan Dotson, Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Esther Stout, Midland; grandchildren, Brittany (Michael) Gathagan, Charles Engelman III, Kristen (Dave) Read, Gary (Emily) Morgan, James Potts, Jr., Jason Potts, Ramsey Potts, Simon Potts, and Vivian Potts; along with four great-grandchildren.

As per Ruth’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. She will be laid to rest next to Charles at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
