Patricia Irwin Krut, 87, of Daugherty Township and Concordia at Villa St. Joseph, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Brighton, PA, on September 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Isabella A. (Milne) Irwin. Patricia married the love of her life Anthony C. Krut on November 7, 1953 in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Father Glen Conner officiating. They were married for 27 blissful years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Anthony in 1981, her beloved Uncle, Joseph L. Irwin, and numerous extended family members. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grand-mother, and great-grandmother. She loved the beach and wild ponies on Assateague Island, caring for her pets, and the view from her kitchen window. She could always be found in the kitchen baking something delicious to celebrate every occasion. Her specialties were Chocolate Chip Cookies, Pumpkin Pie, and Cinnamon Rolls. Patricia is survived by her 5 Children: Timothy Krut, Daugherty Twp; Patti (Craig) Mick, Brighton Twp; Nancy (Gregg) Gailey, Brighton Twp; Michael (Tricia) Krut, Sinking Spring; and Michelle Krut, Brighton Twp. Patricia was a graduate of New Brighton High School and Community College of Beaver County where she graduated with Highest Presidential Honors. She worked as an Admissions Counselor with Gateway Rehabilitation Center until a brief retirement in 1993, and then continued her service to the Drug and Alcohol community. She was always very proud of the work she did and those she helped. This was evident throughout the years from the many people who approached her and offered their gratitude. Patricia was active in many organizations when her children were in school and served in various positions on the boards of those organizations. Most notably, as an officer with the New Brighton Band Parents, Patricia co-founded the Beaver County Band Festival which continues to celebrate Beaver County Bands annually. She established the Anthony C. Krut Memorial Scholarship with the New Brighton Band which was awarded to the Band Member with the highest G.P.A. Patricia was a Premier Voter and never missed her privilege to vote in 68 years. Patricia was a life-long member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish. The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice and the care team at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph-Fontbonne Unit for the loving and compassionate care shown to Patricia while she was a resident.
