Patricia A. Livada

October 7, 1945 — December 28, 2016

Patricia A. (Buck) Livada, 71 of Midland, passed away unexpectedly at Heritage Valley Hospital on December 28, 2016 with her son, Paul, sister in-law, Donna Harn, and niece, Erica Ramirez, by her side. She was born on October 7, 1945  in East Liverpool Hospital to Pearl Buck.  She was raised by her loving grandparents Bertha (Bernadette) Buck and Doyle S. Buck of Newell, WV., after Pearl’s death. Patty was a beloved mother and wife with a kind and generous heart, and an infectious laugh.  She was a wonderful wife and mother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Patty was proceeded in death by her husband of 54 years, Paul (Cookie) Livada, her mother Pearl Buck, and her grandparents Bertha and Doyle Buck.  She is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Livada) Zapata, Bridgeport, Pa and one son, Paul P. Livada, of Midland, Pa; and four grandchildren Zachary Raso, Danny Livada, Randy Zapata, Jr. and Jordan Livada;  two brothers-in-law and  two sisters-in-law; Milan and Jenny Livada, Brighton Township,and Eric and Donna Harn, Ohioville, and  her many special nieces and nephews.

Patty was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Midland, Pa.  Patty worked at the Willows Inn for two years, and made a very dear friend there, Diana  Sosack.  She enjoyed her work and the friendships she made during her time of employment.

Patty was a homemaker for 59 years and enjoyed being a mother and wife.  She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends especially during the holidays.  She enjoyed hosting  the St. Nick celebration, the family’s patron saint, and Serbian Christmas as well. She loved going for dinners and dancing with her husband.  She was very fond of her trips to Shaker Woods, and Christmas in the Woods,  with her sister in-law Donna Harn, and Verity, Amber, and Erica.  Patty was so excited to add to her Raggedy Ann Collection each year as they shopped. She excelled at decorating for every holiday, and her house always reflected  her talent.

She held close to her heart all of her family and friends and a special place for her sister in-law Donna (Livada) Harn.  They shared many special memories together over the years, and always enjoyed family gatherings. .  She also loved visiting Buddy and Jenny and their family.

Patty expressed her thankfulness for the love and care she received from her son, Paul, and Donna’s family during the last few months of her life.

As per her request, visitation and services will be private.  Arrangements are being conducted by the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Avenue, Midland.  Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

Patty will be laid to rest along side her husband at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.
