Patricia L. Stewart, 93, of Midland, formerly of Beaver, passed away on May 12, 2024. Born May 13, 1930 in Bridgewater, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George B., Jr. and Lona M. Kidd Johnston. She had been a resident of Beaver since 1943. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Beaver, Pa. A 1948 Graduate of Beaver High School and Art Instructional School, Minneapolis, Minn. with a degree in Illustration, she was a member of the Poetry Society of Beaver County and loved to write poetry for her friends. Patricia’s best-known poems were for the restoration and completion of the Soldiers Monument in Beaver’s Central Park. Along with her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Stewart, Sr., and a son, Arthur R. Stewart Jr. Patricia is survived by a daughter-in-law, Catherine Stewart, of Patterson Twp. and 2 grandchildren, Arthur R. Stewart Ill and Milinda (Ian Vucinic) Stewart. As per Patricia’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A Graveside Service will be conducted Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver.
