Patrick R. Owens

Patrick R. (Pat) Owens, 84, passed away unexpectedly at Heritage Valley Beaver on May 7, 2022.

Pat was son of the late Edward and Elva Owens. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Freeman Owens, loving father of Ada Youk (John H. Youk Jr.) and Patrick R. Owens II (Laura Owens) and most excellent Grandpap to Patrick R. Owens III, Magdalen (Maggie) Owens, Casey Youk, John Henry Youk III and Anna Youk. He was the loving brother of Charmaine Triplett (Big Sis), the late Evelyn McDivitt, the late Joan Patton, and the late Edward T. “Buster” (Dorothy Tressler) Owens. He is also survived by brothers in law Dutch Triplett and Jack Dunn, sisters in law MaryAnn Dunn (Bam), Donna Young (the late Jack Young) and many nieces and nephews. Pat was a long-term resident of Vanport PA. He was a former Marine who served from 1956 to 1959. He was a long-time machinist tool and dye maker at Crucible Steel Midland PA and then for C3 Controls in Vanport PA. Pat was a member of Van Buren men’s club, played softball, helped coach his sons little league baseball team and played golf in a senior league until 2020. Upon his retirement, Pat spent many days at his buddy’s garage (Riverside Auto) in Vanport.

Friends will be received on Thursday May 12, 2022 from 2pm-6pm at Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver PA 15009. A blessing by Father Bob Miller, will be held at 11am on Friday May 13, 2022 at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Beaver Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of the Valley Parish (Saints Peter and Paul Church), the Disabled Veterans or St. Jude.
