Philip J. Morris, 72 of Ohioville, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System with his wife at his side. Born November 13, 1946 in East Liverpool, OH, he was a son of the late Jerome J. & Jane Morris and had been a resident of Midland and Ohioville all of his life. Philip was a proud veteran of the US Air Force having served during the Vietnam War, during which time he served two tours of duty and was stationed in Thailand. Philip retired in 2008 as a general manager of the Ron Lewis Automotive Group, Beaver Falls and previously in that same position with the former Beglin Ford Dealership. During the past 10 years, he has worked for Frye Transportation, Brighton Twp. He was the executive vice president of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 862, was a member of the VFW Post #8168, was vice commander of the American Legion, Post #481, Midland, and loved to ride his motorcycle. For the past 22 years, he helped organize and participate in the CB4MH (McGuire Memorial Poker Run), and he was a member of the Valley H.O.G. Chapter McMahon’s, Beaver Falls. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bobbie Yannachione Morris, his daughter, Dara Rae Morris, a brother, Jerome (Suzie) Morris, MN, 3 sisters, Diana Leslie, Ohio, Peggy (Joe) Segarra, FL, Mary Patricia (Herb) Gailey, OH, a special friend that is like a daughter, Terri (Doug) Deem and their daughter, Paige, numerous nieces, nephews and many many friends. Preceding him in death besides his parents was a sister, Beth Morris. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A White Rose Ceremony conducted by his brothers of Chapter 862 will be held at 6:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 am at the Christian Assembly Church, Ohioville conducted by Pastor Bill Anzevino. Interment with full military rites will take place Monday at 11:00 at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
